Feature announcement video generator

Product videos, automatically,
when you push code to production

Merge the pull request. A few minutes later a narrated 60 to 90 second video shows the new feature in your own interface, ready for the in-app announcement, the release email and the PR thread.

Why features go unnoticed

You ship on Tuesday. The release notes say "Added bulk export to reports". On Thursday a customer asks whether you could add a way to export more than one report at a time. The feature was announced; nobody noticed. Text asks readers to imagine the interface. Most decline.

A short video removes the imagining: here is the screen, here is the button, here is what happens, here is why you care. The only reason teams do not make one for every release is that recording and editing takes an hour someone does not have. PushPlay removes the hour.

From merged PR to published video

01

Connect the repository

Sign in with GitHub (identity only). Paste a public repository URL, or install the PushPlay GitHub App on a private one and tick the repositories it may read.

02

Merge a pull request

Ship as usual. PushPlay picks up the merged PR, or you choose any range of commits by hand.

03

Analysis and script

The diff is grouped into user-facing changes. An AI model writes a script that leads with the outcome for the user, one scene per change.

04

Voice and timing

A natural voice reads the script. Scene lengths are derived from the recorded narration, so nothing is rushed or padded.

05

Your UI, rendered

The changed components are rendered with your design tokens as animated panels in device frames, then composed with a motion template.

06

Publish everywhere

You get a 1080p MP4, a shareable page with an embeddable player, and a comment on the pull request with the link.

What is in the video

  • Intro: your logo and the feature headline in your brand colours.
  • One scene per change: the relevant screen rendered from your components inside a browser or phone frame, animated, with the voice explaining the outcome for the user.
  • End card: your call to action and URL. Agency plans put the agency's branding here.

Refactors and dependency bumps are filtered out during analysis. Backend-only changes get a narrated explainer with animated typography instead of a UI panel.

Honest limits

The panels are rendered from your source code, so they look like your product and use your design system, but they are a motion rendering, not a pixel capture of production. That is the right trade for announcements and changelogs. If you need exact production screens for a compliance walkthrough, record them. And the rendered panels need React or Next.js; other stacks get the narrated version.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a tool that creates product videos automatically when we push code to production?

Yes. PushPlay watches your GitHub repository and, when a pull request merges, reads the diff, renders the changed screens from your React components, writes and voices a short script and produces a 60 to 90 second announcement video. Nobody records anything.

Does it show my real product or a generic template?

Your product. PushPlay indexes your repository once, extracts your colours, fonts and layout, and renders the changed components as animated panels inside a browser or phone frame. It is a motion rendering of your UI built from source, not a screen recording and not a stock template.

Which frameworks does it work with?

React and Next.js frontends give the best results because components can be rendered directly. Other stacks still get a narrated announcement with animated typography and the repository's brand colours, but without the rendered UI panels.

Can I edit the script or pick which changes to show?

Yes. The analysis step groups the diff into user-facing changes; you untick the ones not worth a scene, edit the script, choose the voice and the motion template, then generate. Or turn on auto-generate on the Pro plan and let every merge produce a video.

How much does a feature announcement video cost?

One credit per video plus one per feature scene. Starter is $29 for 20 credits a month (about five videos), Pro is $79 for 60. The free plan includes four credits, enough for a first real video with no card.
